25th August: Mutula Kilonzo Jr. sworn in as the governor of Makueni at Unoa Grounds, Wote.

29th August: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. In conjunction with clergy held prayer sessions in the governor’s office, governor ‘s official residence and deputy governor’s official residence.

30th August: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr and DG Lucy Mulili held a meeting with all ECMs, COs and County directors for a status update on county development plan.

1st September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior chaired three cabinet meetings and approved these Development plans:

  1. The Makueni Annual Development Plan 2023/2024;
  2. 2023/2024 Budget Cycle Plan;
  3. Makueni County Valuation Roll. To be presented to the assembly for approval when it begins sittings;
  4. Own Source Revenue growth plan, with a target of more than a Billion;

He also assured suppliers that his administration will clear all pending bills, amounting to about Sh 700M, once they are audited and authenticated.

5th September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. holds a meeting with the wote municipality board, agrees to transfer necessary functions from the county government to the municipality. The governor also met officials from the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO)for a planning meeting on digital land governance program.

6th September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr and DG Lucy Mulili holds a familiarisation meeting with all sub-ward, ward and subcounty administrators

9th September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior, Deputy Governor Lucy Mulili, Wote Municipality Board members holds a sequel briefing meeting with SUED implementation team and representatives of the British High Commission at the Council of Governors offices, Nairobi, to finalize the development plan for Wote Municipality.

10th September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr attends burial ceremony of the late Dennis Makau Kituu at Mbooni Constituency.

12th September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr kicks off efforts to streamline the procurement of health commodities to boost healthcare delivery in the county. The streamlining efforts involves integrating and enhancing information technology (IT) based systems to power the procurement and distribution of health commodities like drugs.

14th September 2022: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr ordered more than 58 medical heads out of their comfortable offices in Wote to offer services to wananchi in local health facilities.

16th September: Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. Joins other Governors and Deputy Governors in Mombasa for the first Council of Governors meeting.

Anyway the governor is doing something constructive activities and ensuring that there is higher rate of development but instead of supplying relive food to the residents why should in not focus on drilling boreholes and dams improve the roads by either tarmacking or ensuring they are all have maram
