The defender’s vote didn’t go down effectively with Los Blancos supporters and he was focused with vile racist messages and has been instructed to depart the membership.
In response, Alaba took to Twitter and clarified that Austria’s vote for Lionel Messi as Greatest FIFA Males’s Participant was determined ‘as a staff and never me alone’
He posted: ‘Concerning FIFA The Greatest Award: The Austrian nationwide staff vote for this award as a staff, not me alone. Everybody within the staff council is ready to vote and that’s the way it’s determined.
‘Everybody is aware of, particularly Karim, how a lot I love him and his performances.’
