Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr awards Makueni students who excelled in the Sports & Music representing the county at Nationals & East Africa competitions.
The Governor announced that the event will be done every year, and will in future focus on celebrating & awarding secondary school & primary school students who will be excelling in sports, drama, music & STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering & Maths).
Among the schools that received governor’s awards today were Mwaani Girls(Music team), Mbooni boys(Music Team), Makueni Girls(Music Team), Makueni Boys(Music Team), Ndumbi Secondary (athletes E.A champions), Mukameni Secondary (E.Africa Triple Jump runners up), Mukaa Girls (National Music Champions), Kathonzweni Primary(Music Team), Mutongu Primary (Music Team) among others.
