Roles assigned to Musalia Mudavadi as the Chief Cabinet Secretary;
Assisting the office of the President and that of his deputy in supervising state ministries.
In liaison with the Ministry responsible for Interior and Coordination, he will oversee the implementation of government policies, programmes and projects.
He will Chair and coordinate National Government Legislative agenda across all Ministries and State Departments in consultations with and for transmission to the party coalition leadership in both National Assembly and the Senate.
Musalia will also be in charge of facilitating inter-ministerial coordination of cross-functional initiatives and programs.
He will coordinate and supervise the technical monitoring and evaluation of government policies programmes and projects across ministries.
While assigning the roles to Musalia Mudavadi, the Head of State noted that the position was the most powerful after the President’s and that of the Deputy President occupied by Rigathi Gachagua.
